January Flicks

Images that celebrate the month of January

January was always a month of darkness for me. I never got out much, preferring to watch box sets under blankets. But in recent years I’ve discovered just how much I was missing…

January mists hang amongst the trees in glades where the sun has yet to burn through.

The watery winter sun makes the sky resemble a Turner Painting.

Mr Heron looks chilly as he hunts for a snack in early January.

And Mrs Duck is feeling the chill too..

… but milder days return sooner than you’d think. This photo was taken in Terrace Gardens, Richmond on the last day of January 2016 with Mr Robin serenading the lengthening of the days.

….. which is definitely something to celebrate!
