Christmas in the Highands
Hi Everyone, Happy New Year!
I’ve been so MIA, all my hobbies just took a back seat in the last few months as work was full on, but it’s a new year and I’m determined to do better in 2020. Starting with sharing some photos from Christmas. My other half’s parents live in Inverness-shire so while we were up visiting them in the highlands we were able to do a little bit of walking.
It was just above freezing during the day while we were there, but it had recently snowed, and everything that was in shade remained icy which was beautiful. We did a circular walk in Glen Affric which took in dog falls and Coire Loch.

The scenery, as well, was spectacular.
Something which also really struck me was the Lichen. Apparently it can only grow like this when the air is really pure. This one looked like a chandelier.
We also went for a shorter walk just a few miles up the road from where my in-laws live but I stupidly did not take my camera! Here are some phone shots – the sun had come out and it was stunning.
